From a first Maruti 800 to a brand-new Grand Vitara — real stories of trust built over four decades in the North East.
Walk into any Bimal Auto showroom in Guwahati on a Saturday afternoon and you'll notice something unusual — a lot of the customers already know us by name. Not because we're famous, but because we sold a car to their father in 1996, fitted accessories on their cousin's Alto in 2008, and serviced their uncle's Ertiga last monsoon.
It started with a Maruti 800
Forty years ago, owning a car in Assam was a quiet kind of luxury. The Maruti 800 changed that — and Bimal Auto was there, helping families take that first leap. The same families now bring their grown-up children to pick out a Brezza or a Grand Vitara. The faces are new, the trust is the same.
Why generations stay
It isn't loyalty programs or glossy brochures. It's the small things — a service advisor remembering your last visit, a sales consultant who tells you honestly that you don't need the bigger variant, a follow-up call after the first monsoon to ask if the wipers are holding up. Multiply that over forty years and you get a relationship, not a transaction.
What we promise the next generation
Cars will keep changing — electric, hybrid, connected. What won't change is how we treat the family that walks in. Honest advice, transparent paperwork, service you don't have to chase. That's the contract our founders made in the 1980s, and it's the one we intend to keep.
